My name is Joy Russell and am the leader of the YellowShirt Brigade and have been fighting for the healthcare of Ontario since 1999 and ,specifically, Fort Erie, Port Colborne and other small Community Hospitals across Ontario. I did not attend this rally today because I am now 89 years old and just getting over this new illness going arround. I Do not want to spread it and want to be able to continue fighting for our Canadian rights.
When you stood tall to fight Covid I really believed in you and am so disappointed by how you have let all of us down by taking away the healthcare that we were promised. You do not stand up for the Ontario public, and closed Community Built hospitals who were maintained and served the people who built them. Hospitals that were debt free and not only cared for the people but provided employment for residents and a safety net in emergency situations.
You have proven to us that you care for only major cities and not the people who trusted and believed in you, who live outside your circle of cohorts. You have taken the safety of small towns and left us without our Equal Healthcare Promised to all.
You leave us without the ability to get help, because you now are leaving us with a very small window to get urgent care as the hours have been cut. Accidents, heart attacks, babies are born and emergencies just happen. They do not run on a schedule.
Premier Ford it is time you step in and give us our rightful, healthcare and help all people in Ontario , not just the wealthy and friends. It is time for you to stop this insanity and do what you should have done years ago.
BE A LEADER .... NOT A DICTATOR.
SAVE HEALTHCARE AND SAVE LIVES.
