Our ask: The town needs to promote sos to the community and they need to pass a resolution to keep fort erie urgent care open 24/7 and further they put forward a letter to Niagara health and the province to keep Douglas memorial as an emergency and chronic care facility that can take on overflow patients from other healthcare facilities as well as service the people in fort erie and surrounding areas in their immediate health care needs 24/7 on a going forward basis. The province and Niagara health will work with the towns healthcare committee to attract physicians and healthcare teams to service the fort erie facility. Furthermore, Niagara health is to restore 24/7 healthcare immediately. The town will promote a public healthcare discussion to take place every 3 months to work with the community to meet their needs

We are holding a March and rally to show our support of Douglas Memorial June 1 at 10 am join us behind Sobeys to begin our march down Concession to Bertie St then down Bertie to the hospital. We will Rally out front from Noon- 2:00 We have spin the wheel to win a prize for $2 or buy a ticket on a beautiful quilt for $5
All proceeds will help us with promotional costs
Come have some fun, bring a sign or let’s just chat and exchange ideas
If you can’t make this rally come out July 3rd to celebrate Douglas Memorials 93rd birthday. We will have cake and balloons and the hope to keep our hospital open even if we have to find new backers 4pm-6-pm
