It was a great day for a celebration and to share stories - so many of you were born at Douglas and of course some of you lost loved ones too but everyone agreed Douglas Memorial is absolutely essential in our local community and should not be closed. Now we need the Ministry of Health to stop the closure and support our healthcare needs in Fort Erie and surrounding communities. This is about need and is the answer to the overcrowded ER’s in Niagara Falls and St Catharines
It doesn’t make sense to close it; even if everyone had a family doctor we need around the clock services available and we need to be able to be with our family members when they are sick or dying. We matter and we need to SAVE OUR HOSPITAL !
